Boys & Girls Club of Whittier - Rancho Santa Gertrudes Elementary
We inspire and enable all young people, especially those in need, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Our after-school and summer programs for youth ages 6 to 18 focus on academic success, character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. We provide a safe and encouraging environment where any child can grow and contribute to the community.
VOLUNTEERING & ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Mentoring Program
Elementary-age members at risk of falling behind in school are paired with mentors in our Be Great: Graduate program, tracking their Attendance, Behavior, and Class performance. Mentors commit to one hour a week to help with homework and enjoy activities. Mentors serve as caring adults and role models. We always need volunteers, especially minority males.
Club Programming
If you have a talent or interest in areas like sports, science, tutoring, or music, our staff can use your help. Whether it’s a one-time or regular commitment, you can assist in providing enriching activities.
Special Events
We host several events throughout the year, including a Gala Auction, Wine Dinner, Golf Tournament, and Youth of the Year awards. Volunteers help with setup and tasks during the events.
