(Chula Vista) The Salvation Army is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Our message is based on the Bible, our ministry is motivated by the love of God. Every program we offer is rooted in our passion to serve God by serving the lost, the vulnerable, the needy, the poor, the hurting, the helpless, and the hopeless. Purpose/Goal of Position: Under the direct supervision of the senior nutrition site manager, the volunteer will assist in preparing and serving well balanced meals to senior citizens. Other duties include helping to set up and clean up dining hall as well as help prep the hall for seasonal parties and on-going senior Karaoke. This is an on-going volunteer opportunity, we ask for a minimum of 3 month commitment. Shifts are Wednesdays or Fridays from 10am to noon. Ability to speak some Spanish is a plus.
