Girls on the Run of San Diego
We empower girls to be happy, healthy, and confident through a fun, hands-on curriculum that creatively incorporates running.
Girls on the Run is a 501(c)3 program focused on positive youth development. By blending an engaging curriculum with running, we aim to foster self-respect and healthy habits in pre-teen girls. Our core curriculum supports various facets of girls' growth, including their physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. The lessons equip girls with the tools to make positive choices and steer clear of risky behaviors.
Volunteer Opportunities
Become a Coach
Coaches are the heart of our program! Each season, two or more volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team through our tried-and-true curriculum. If you're ready to directly make an impact, then this role is for you.
Become a junior Coach
Junior Coaches are needed to inspire the next generation! Our Junior Coach program is for high school girls aged 16 to 18. Beyond serving as a role model to program participants, Junior Coaches work alongside Coaches, strengthening their leadership skills and gaining a sense of belonging and purpose.
