notIndicated
Due Date: 2025-07-31T21:00:00.000Z
We are dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. WHAT WE DO: Protect our oceans, waves and beaches. Surfrider's most important coastal work is carried out by its 90 chapters located along the East, West, Gulf, Puerto Rican, and Hawaiian coasts. Surfrider now has over 50,000 members in the USA; in addition, International Surfrider chapters and affiliates have been established in the countries of Japan, Brazil, Australia, France and Spain. VOLUNTEERING: The Surfrider Foundation's biggest strength is our grassroots, community based chapters and their ability to act as local activists for the protection of the coast. In order to strengthen and build on these core competencies, the organization must continually expand our chapter network's volunteer base. There are many levels of volunteer activities to suit your taste. Whether you are a first time volunteer or an old pro, don't be shy about asking questions of our chapter members. Everyone has to start on some level and we are grateful that you are taking the first step. Attend a local chapter meeting and ask about volunteer opportunities. Remember that the Surfrider Foundation is only as effective as you are, our volunteers. We don't exist without you! If you want to apply as a volunteer, please, go to page https://www.hsbsurfrider.org/volunteer/ Our website is https://www.hsbsurfrider.org/, email is chair@hsb.surfrider.org
