​​​​The mission of the Foster Family & Adoptions Agency | Palmdale is to support children/youth, and their families, in and at risk of foster care, to build hope and achieve bright futures through wellness, education, relationships, and career focused services and resources. We provide the best volunteering opportunities for anyone who wants to help others. At Optimist, volunteers and mentors play a critical role in the lives of our youth. Through a variety of programs and activities, our volunteers and mentors act as stable role models to guide and inspire our youth. Through their consistent presence, they help improve educational achievements, promote health and safety, and inspire pro-social and emotional behaviors. It is the intention that impacting these areas will lead to the overall safety, wellbeing, and increased permanency for our youth. If you want to give your time, there's no shortage of ways to help.
