Our mission is to empower people with disabilities by providing advocacy, training, skill development, and services that enhance every individual''s capabilities. SVILC is unique in that it is the only organization in Santa Clara County that offers comprehensive services to individuals with disabilities. It is also the only organization in the area that provides comprehensive services for people with ALL types of disabilities. Silicon Valley Independent Living Center (SVILC) is a cross-disability, intergenerational, multicultural disability justice organization that creates fully inclusive communities that value the dignity, equality, freedom, and worth of every human being. We do this by building disability identity; culture and pride; creating opportunities for personal and community transformation; and partnering with others to ensure that civil and human rights are protected. The organizational values of SVILC reflect positive identity, culture and pride, in addition to personal transformation that include a defiant celebration of being a person with a disability.
