Boys & Girls Club of Whittier - Ada S. Nelson Elementary
Ada S. Nelson Elementary School
The Boys & Girls Club of Whittier provides after-school and summer programs for youth ages 6 to 18 years old that emphasize Academic Success; the development of good Character & Citizenship; and the formation of Healthy Lifestyles.
We currently operate our programs at 31 locations: The Main Clubhouse on Greenleaf Avenue in Whittier serves youth from 6-18 from throughout the community, the Club at El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera serves El Rancho students, and we currently serve youth in the Whittier City School District in partnership with Reach for the Stars. We also serve youth in the East Whittier School District, South Whittier School District, Los Nietos School District and Little Lake School District.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Whittier are places that any child can find safety, encouragement, and the strength to grow and become a contributing member of our community.
In a world that has never seemed more devoid of promise to a disproportionate number of America’s children, the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier provides a tangible measure of hope.
The Club offers young people what they need most: adults who respect and listen to them; a safe environment where they can have fun and be themselves; and interesting, constructive activities that channel youthful energy into challenging pursuits.
