To protect and restore natural resources in the Putah Creek bioregion for the benefit of the creek’s wildlife and the regional community. Our values We foster a community that protects and enhances Putah Creek's natural resources. We facilitate outreach and action based on current science. We promote inclusive, transparent, and open communication. We work alongside landowners to protect riparian habitats for wildlife, plants, and people. We encourage discussion of science and social issues, including climate change, and foster a culture in which community members can take effective action. We support regional partners and agencies in protecting and restoring natural resources. At Putah Creek Council, we believe community engagement in environmental stewardship and education is necessary to foster a connection between people, projects, and habitat along Putah Creek! Whether it be getting your hands dirty in the field or teaching school children about our watershed, Putah Creek Council has plenty of opportunities that suit all sorts of schedules and interest levels. Are you interested in volunteering, but your schedule doesn’t permit a larger commitment like joining one of our volunteer teams? No worries! Check out our event calendar to see what volunteer opportunities we have available in our Native Plant Nursery or at other restoration sites in the watershed! If you want to apply as a volunteer, please, go to page https://putahcreekcouncil.org/get-involved/ Our website is https://putahcreekcouncil.org/, contact email is info@putahcreekcouncil.org, contact phone is 530-795-9000
