Volunteers needed for Art Exhibition Opening Saturday, May 10 from 2:30-5:15 p.m.

Xela Institute of Art is seeking volunteers who are passionate about art to aid in visitor experience, monitor the artworks and assist throughout the set up, reception, and closing activities of a museum event. Volunteers are needed to help perform the following tasks: Welcome guests Maintain guest list Must have personal smart phone/know how to take pictures Guide visitors Monitor artworks Answer questions Assist in closing activities Ideal candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm about contemporary art, ability to work with others, willingness to learn, and are at least 18 years of age. Bilingual speakers who can help expand engagement with various visitors is a plus, however, it is not a requirement. Please inform us of any additional languages with application. Prior knowledge of contemporary art or education may be helpful, although it is not required. Please provide a phone number with the application. Volunteers must wear black and we request that anyone interested please leave their name and phone number in their reply.
