Apprentice Caseworker
Serve as the client’s ambassador. Analyze client assistance requests, complete required verifications, assess budget, and review previous casework history. Develop a budget with service members, their eligible dependents or retired service members. Evaluate whether needs presented can be met within NMCRS relief policies. Recommend appropraite resources to clients that best suit their needs. Approve no interest loans in accordance with NMCRS guidelines. Consult with a mentor to determine whether to assist or recommend other services. Present requests for exceptions to Headquarters Caseworkers, with concurrence of the Director or designee. Complete required documentation using NMCRS software programs
