To alleviate hunger. Food today. Food security tomorrow. In a country that wastes billions of pounds of food each year, it's almost shocking that anyone in America goes hungry. Yet every day, there are millions of children and adults who do not get the meals they need to thrive. We work to get nourishing food – from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers – to people in need. At the same time, we also seek to help our neighbors build a path to a brighter, food-secure future. Volunteer Volunteers play a crucial work in our efforts to alleviate hunger in the our County! Come join us for just a few hours. REQUIREMENTS Minors must have a release form signed by a parent or guardian upon registration on your first shift Parent or guardian must sign a separate one for themselves Minors must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone during the entire shift The minimum age is 12 years old If you prefer not to work at the shelter, we also need volunteers who can help at off-site events or foster animals in their own homes.
