Seniors First
Improving the Lives of Placer County Seniors
In a perfect world, every senior would have enough food to eat, a warm, safe place to live, access to reliable transportation, and opportunities for human interaction and connection. Over 86,000 senior citizens reside in Placer County, many of whom do not have access to these critical quality of life services. Seniors First exists to provide programs, services and long-term support to Placer County seniors so that they may maintain their independence as long as possible.
Volunteer
Seniors First relies on volunteer support to maintain many of our signature programs and services. Volunteers work side-by-side with Seniors First staff to provide compassionate, quality care and attention to each individual client. Many times our volunteers are the only link a senior has with the community. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to meet most any interest and availability.
Volunteers choose the program that best suits their area of interest, and days, times and location that best fits their personal schedule.
Current volunteer needs include:
Friendly Visitors
MyRides Volunteer Drivers
Senior Café Greeters and Servers
Meals on Wheels Delivery Drivers
Office and Administrative Support
Recreation & Respite (R&R)
