We’re committed to safeguarding California’s native plants and ecosystems, using both knowledge and passion. CNPS merges science, education, conservation, and gardening to energize the native plant movement. Since its foundation, the CNPS San Gabriel Mountains Chapter has been a strong advocate for plant science and native plant appreciation, establishing itself as a leader among native plant organizations globally. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, we are dedicated to the preservation of California's native plants and their natural habitats, while enhancing understanding, enjoyment, and the horticultural use of these plants. We collaborate with policymakers, scientists, and local planners to champion environmentally sound policies, regulations, and land management practices.
