Help Change a Life

Porterville Public Library, Read to Succeed Adult Literacy program, provides free tutoring for adults who want to improve their basic reading and writing skills. No teaching experience is required. Staff will train volunteers to be effective tutors. The tutors will receive free training materials. Porterville Read to Succeed assesses learners to identify their own individual personalized curriculum. The tutoring hours are flexible and each tutor/learner team is able to meet at the library.
