The USO is all about making sure that America's military service members have the support they need to stay connected to their loved ones, home, and country while they're serving their country. For 80 years, the USO has been the go-to organization for serving the men and women in the U.S. military and their families throughout their time in uniform. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is there for them every step of the way. We're lucky to have over 500 volunteers at our Bob Hope USO Airport Centers, each of whom brings their own special skills to the table. From helping a soldier with a connecting flight to distributing a care package, serving snacks with a smile, providing local information, or "welcoming home" troops from deployment, volunteers are essential to the USO's success. While the duties of a volunteer may vary, the goal is always the same: to improve the quality of life of service members, boost their morale, and serve as the link between service members and the American people.
