NAMIWalks Flyer Distribution Volunteer Opportunity

We’re looking for volunteers to help us hang flyers across San Mateo County and promote our upcoming NAMIWalks event! This is a flexible, feel-good task you can do on your own time between August 9th-24th. You’ll help post flyers at businesses, libraries, rec centers, police stations, and more. Just a few hours of your time can help boost turnout and support free mental health programs. Sign up today and be part of a movement that brings hope to our community! All supplies (flyers, maps, tape, push pins, FAQ sheets) can be picked up from our NAMI SMC Office: 1730 South Amphlett Blvd., Ste. 308, San Mateo starting August 6th (just be sure to coordinate ahead) Once you sign up, we’ll send you a confirmation email with pickup details and everything you need to know. A bout NAMI San Mateo County & NAMIWalks The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) San Mateo County provides free mental health education, support, and advocacy to individuals, families, schools and workplaces. NAMIWalks is the National Alliance on Mental Illness’s largest mental health awareness and fundraising event, uniting communities to promote hope, support, and free mental health resources for all! At NAMIWalks, participants come together for a 5K or 1k walk where they share their personal stories to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health. Attendees enjoy food, music, a community resource fair, wellness programming, kids' zone, and more!
