Surf Rider

We are dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. We are a volunteer-run, non-profit organization consisting of a diverse group of activists, researchers, and dedicated Bay Area community members. We work at the local, state, and federal levels to protect and enjoy the places we love. About us—For more than 34 years, the Surfrider Foundation has been protecting what you love. There are many ways to get involved in the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through our powerful activist network. Each month we host a chapter meeting on the first Tuesday, three weekend beach cleanups, and a number of other activities.
