In Person Programming Mentor/Teacher Flexible Times

The League of Amazing Programmers is an after-school program that teaches programming to kids starting in the 5th though 12th grade. Through our 10-level curriculum, kids can start from the basics and advance to the CS AP exam and ultimately take the Oracle Certified Associate, Programmer Certification. Our organization is enriched by the volunteers who bring their first hand knowledge and experience to the classroom. Most of our classes focus on Java and Python but if you program in another language, we still want to hear from you. Classes are small (usually 7 kids or fewer with one or two advanced student TAs as helpers) and run for 90 minutes. This opportunity is in San Diego County. We are open 7 days a week, so we have lots of opportunities and will find a time that works for you! We do ask that you come regularly because that creates the best environment for learning. Another position that is available is our Tech Club instructor in our local libraries. Our Tech Club Program offers free introdcutory 1 - hour tech classes in different libraries, which could be at one near you! The classes differ from topic, either coding, micro controllers, AI or any idea you have. We believe that we are the only school in the country teaching professional grade programming to kids this young. Come and join us in this amazing, fun adventure.
