Our Mission Community Action Partnership of Kern will address underlying causes of poverty, alleviate the effects, and promote dignity and self-sufficiency in the communities we serve. Our Vision At CAPK we envision communities where all people have equal opportunities to achieve greater self-sufficiency and attain their version of the American Dream. Our Promise Community Action changes people’s lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other. Empowering Kern Building Futures Summit We invite the community to join us for a summit hosted by the Kern Coalition on Saturday, September 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is your chance to share your stories and help us better align our efforts with the needs and desires of our community. The day will feature inspiring talks and panels, interactive sessions, and collaborative planning on the next steps we can take together. We’re excited to hear from you and work side by side to make a meaningful impact. We can’t wait to see you there!
